Make an impact supporting riders and programs.
Volunteers Needed
At FENCE, volunteers are the heart and soul of TROT. From grooming and saddling horses to serving as leaders and sidewalkers during lessons, our volunteers make every ride possible. They also assist with barn duties, admin support, and behind-the-scenes coordination.
Horse experience is helpful โ but not required.
Training & Requirements
Volunteer training is held twice a year and includes:
An introductory class on equine-assisted activities and therapies

At least one hands-on training session with a horse and simulated rider scenarios
To serve as a leader or sidewalker, volunteers must:

Walk on uneven ground for up to 30 minutes

Hold one arm at shoulder height for an extended period

Respond physically in emergency situations if needed
