FENCE offers a one-of-a-kind venue surrounded by the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge foothills, making it the perfect setting for weddings, corporate gatherings, celebrations, horse shows, and community events. Our 384-acre property features scenic landscapes, open green spaces, a covered pavilion, equestrian facilities, and versatile indoor and outdoor event spaces to accommodate a wide variety of occasions.

Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a large-scale event, our unique setting provides a memorable backdrop that guests won't soon forget. Conveniently located in Tryon, North Carolina, FENCE combines the tranquility of nature with the amenities needed to host a successful event. Our flexible venue allows you the freedom to create an event that reflects your unique vision and style. Every rental at FENCE supports our nonprofit mission of preserving green space while providing educational and recreational opportunities that connect nature, animals, and people.

The FENCE House

The FENCE House offers a warm, rustic atmosphere with timeless character and beautiful views of the surrounding property. Guests enter through a large foyer that leads into the Great Room, a spacious gathering area featuring original wood floors, vaulted exposed beam ceilings, the home's original large brick gas log fireplace, and large picture windows that bring in natural light and showcase the peaceful surroundings. The Great Room also includes a large wall-mounted television with visual hookup capabilities, making it a functional space for presentations, gatherings, or entertainment.

A wraparound covered area extends the living space outdoors, providing a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of FENCE. The home also features a full kitchen with an ice machine, a dining room with a large server, and separate men's and women's restrooms. Combining rustic charm with practical amenities, the FENCE House provides a unique and inviting space surrounded by the beauty of FENCE's 384-acre property.

Outdoor Spaces

FENCE offers a variety of scenic outdoor spaces that showcase the natural beauty and character of our 384-acre property. Each location provides a unique backdrop surrounded by open skies, mature trees, mountain views, and the peaceful atmosphere of the Foothills.

Hawks Ridge – offers breathtaking panoramic views, providing a beautiful setting surrounded by the natural landscape of the Blue Ridge foothills.
The Historic Kimberly Cabin – provides a rustic and intimate atmosphere nestled beside butterfly and herb gardens and shaded by one of Polk County’s most admired trees. This charming space offers a unique glimpse into the history and natural beauty of FENCE.
Pond and Wetlands Area – features a 2.5-acre pond, pavilion, and boardwalk, creating a picturesque setting where guests can enjoy the peaceful sounds and sights of the surrounding wetlands.

Miles of scenic trails weave throughout the property, allowing visitors to explore the diverse landscapes, wildlife, and natural features that make FENCE a truly special destination.

Kitchen

The FENCE kitchen offers a functional and spacious setup featuring a commercial stove, dishwasher, two refrigerators, a stand-up freezer, and ample counter space for food preparation and service. This well-equipped space provides the convenience and flexibility needed for a variety of gatherings and events.

Fence Foothills Equestrian Nature Center offers flexible rental options for meetings, celebrations, corporate functions, and special events.

House Use

Weekday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

4 hours or less: $300
More than 4 hours: $600

Weekday Evening (5:00 PM – 10:00 PM)

5 hours: $400

Weekend (9:00 AM – 10:00 PM)

4 hours or less: $500
All day: $1,000
(Includes use of the building the day before and the day of the event.)

Outdoor Pavilion

Weekday or Weekend (8:00 AM – 10:00 PM)

More than 4 hours: $200

These rates apply to Fence Foothills Equestrian Nature Center’s basic facilities. We are happy to discuss your specific event needs and the use of other areas of the property.

A refundable security deposit is required upon signing the rental contract. The deposit is 20% of the total rental fee and will be returned provided the facility is cleaned and restored to its original condition.
